Achievements

While Interning at the CTE:

  • I worked closely with Sherri to plan the Provost APT Award Luncheon. While planning this event I:

    • Created an event timeline​

    • Reviewed nomination materials

    • Created invitations for the event

    • Coordinated with the University's catering company, Chartwells

    • Coordinated floral and photography services

    • Managed data such as RSVPs, dietary needs, and invitee contact information.

    • Created the scrolling slideshow which will be displayed during the luncheon.

    • Contributed to the script for the speakers.

    • Will be on-site the day of the event (event is April 22)

  • I worked with the CIRTL Banquet planning committee. I contacted several caterers in College Station to receive pricing quotes and created a price comparison sheet in Excel. I then placed the order with their chosen caterer.

  • I worked with Sherri to plan the ACUE pinning ceremony, reaching out to potential caterers for this event.

  • I attended a Vendor Showcase with Sherri at the Bush School and spoke to several vendors. I learned the important things to take note of when trying catering samples and viewing displayed work.

  • I arranged several staff celebrations for birthdays and staff-appreciation. These were smaller-scale events. I decorated the Learning lab in the ILCB and placed catering orders for each event.

  • I provided office support for faculty members by keeping inventory stocked and the coffee pot's water cartridge full.
